I talked to a guy who has his gmail text him every time he gets an email. Wow. My cell phone is never on. When I was a grad student and partied all the time, I couldn’t go 30 minutes without checking my email. Now I have no social life and could go weeks without checking my personal email. All I get are forwards and spam.
How often do you check your email? Is your cell phone always on? I’m curious…

My cell phone is mostly for calling out, like yours. Right now, I don’t know where it is, even. I’m usually logged in to chat and email. I might not be anywhere near the computer, but it’s on and I think of it like an answering machine. I look at it if I wander by and notice that it’s blinking at me, or if I hear it ding.
I check email fairly often, and usually by check email I mean 3 emails, and one or two blogs. I always have my cell phone on me and on, but that is probably more of a mom away from baby thing, as D is the only one who calls it mostly.
