Craig Scandal

I’ve been thinking a bit about the Larry Craig scandal. I’ve heard many different opinions. Some people think that he is innocent and there was a big misunderstanding. Others disagree. I didn’t immediately have an opinion, but now I think that he is hiding something. This isn’t necessarily true across the board, but if he were innocent would he have pled guilty? I could overlook that-maybe he just wanted to do whatever he could to just end it fast. But other Republicans are bailing on him. Why is that? Either they don’t want this to tarnish their image and/or they don’t have faith in what he says.

I know a lot of people think that he is getting picked on because he is a Republican, which is probably true. While rival political parties will always be nasty to each other, I think Republicans would probably be hit less if they didn’t fall off their family values soap box so often. If you preach drugs are bad, don’t do them. If prostitution is illegal, don’t screw hookers. If being gay is wrong, don’t have sex with people of the same gender. Or at the very least, don’t get caught!
