• What do you talk about?

Why I hate the gym

1. It is the gym
2. I always get stuck in line behind a car waiting for a parking spot. If you are going to the gym, why are you worried about close parking? Consider the walk part of the workout
3. The parking lot is full of little cars. Umm, please. If you love the environment so much that you will buy a compact, fuel efficient, environmentally friendly car you should go work out in nature so those of us with big trucks/vans/SUVs can more easily park
4. There are never any functioning machines free
5. Cute little girls wearing cute little outfits

I have more but I feel that I have complained enough for the day.

  1. so, you’re complaining and surely don’t want someone to tell you how to fix the problem. I know how that goes. But I do have a fix. Go in the morning. Now, 8am might not work for your schedule since you have a Job and all, but there are tons of open parking spots and open machines in the morning. I promise.
I cannot, however, do anything about the cute little undergrads in their cute little shorts. Maybe if you come in the morning you can sweat next to me and the geriatric crowd—there is a lot of jiggling going on.

  2. I know you love cows and dogs so I’ve come up with a plan for you. You could help me with my cow work, then you’d have walk to vet med all the time and wouldn’t need to go to the gym. Of course, if you still wanted to, you could just cross the street from vet med and wouldn’t have to worry about parking. I’d be happy to loan you a dog or two, also, so you could take them for walks. I’d loan you my two fat dogs to make up for all the cute little girls. BONUS: My dogs favorite activity is catching rodents so you won’t have to ever spend money on traps or poison.

  3. I’ve always wondered about that parking thing.

  4. Crap. Livia you are too funny. Can I have a dog or a cow too? And Tara, I’m with you. Nothing discourages me at the gym more than the cute little girls in their cute little outfits staring at me. It’s almost like I can hear them saying “um, she obviously hasn’t been here in awhile” or at least that’s what I think they’re staying. :)
