Brother

My brother Homie G is in the military and I found out he is in Iraq now. He spent several months in Kosovo a few years back. I sent him like 3 letters a week and a package once a month. I sent him random stuff that I thought he would like. Some he liked, some he gave away, which was fine. I plan to send him things again. Anyone have any suggestions?

  1. There are a few sites out there that have some good suggestions. There are more restrictions for sending things to Iraq.

I’ve heard that things like hard candy and chapstick are helpful because it’s dry. Depending where he is, there may not be much to do in terms of entertainment, so DVD’s, magazines, and books are good. Plus that’s something that lots of people can share or pass on to others.

The PO can be really picky about liquids and aerosols, so it’s best to stay away from stuff like that.

Just some tips that I’ve heard from other military wives or people with family over there.
